Since 1980, Daly City has been a regional leader in addressing housing and community development needs. Through its Housing and Community Development Division (HCD), the City is committed to a comprehensive range of activities that improve neighborhoods and the quality of life for all residents.

HCD administers the City’s annual funding from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Programs as well as the Daly City Redevelopment Agency (DCRA) Housing Set-Aside Funds. HCD oversees a diversity of activities including:

• Public Services
• Assistance to Small Business
